There’s a history of people trying to throw immigrant kids out of public schools, but we have more research suggesting that multilingual/English language learners don’t negatively affect other students’ achievement. In fact, it’s also a plus for ELLs. In other words, learning together matters.

The eyeliner guy in the VP slot went on numerous national shows lying about how much time and resources are used up for the “poor” teachers having to deal with numerous foreign languages in one classroom. I’m like… he has no idea how public schools work at all. They need to call that out.
