This is literally my entire day, every day, at this point in my life. Maybe I should get it as my first tattoo.
Done, thanks!

Love you but, speaking only for myself here, please refer to this gif.

That's pretty much Talia's beat - excellent writing on brutal topics that are essential to understand. But the psychic damage from reading her books is real and I can't imagine how hard it is for her to dig into these subjects.
I’m still stuck on (enraged by) the fact that a “billionaire preacher” is a thing that not only exists—but that there are more than one.
Trump is pretty far down the dementia slide, it will only go faster with each passing month. Given his love for cameras it will be impossible to hide his severe impairment within ~6 months, a year tops. It's not 1987 anymore. I hope we never have to find out how they'd play it though.
Thing is, his actual "role" is to step in as president a few months after the election when his handlers have him lead a 25th amendment intervention and then to be a good little puppet for his patrons for the next few decades as they live out their authoritarian, unregulated capitalist dreams.
this is not to say i endorse the many many brutalities of the current administration but rather the sense that replacing it with something foul, corrupt and evil to the very heart would not in any sense be better
This strikes me as not-quite-right. She's correct that the campus protest in particular has lost power, but social media isn't where we should be looking for an explanation. Simply put: universities used to take student disruption more seriously because they took *their students* more seriously.
