Sometimes I feel bad about how I get some followers b/c I'm a scientist, but I mostly don't post about science. Then I see the huge, shall we say, debates happening between my colleagues on here and I think "oh I'm really not qualified to weigh in on this" and I go back to posting about movies.

The "genetics" bit here isn't even bad framing, it's just straight-up false. The man knows nothing about genetics, he's not sitting up poring over the latest mRNA paper in Nature. His "fascination" is with racist eugenics. That has as much to do with genetics as flat-earthers do with physics.

OK, is Ground News any good? I'm DEEPLY suspicious, I've seen WAY too many attempts to categorise news sources by political stance that were just *horrendous*. But I also keep seeing people I respect and trust advertise Ground News. Is this just b/c they need the ad revenue, or is it actually solid?
I keep seeing people wine that Joker 2 is bad for the very reasons those same ppl insisted Joker 1 was good. They said Joker 1 was abt a regular man's struggles with mental health and poverty in a cruel society. Now they say Joker 2 is bad because this broken man isn't an arch supervillain? Come on.

We live in an incredible world, I just saw a very, very angry person online screaming about how Joker 2 is failing because it "went woke". Just... amazing. Like, I know he's just saying *anything* that bombs is "woke" without further thought, but still. Just a 🤌 kind of dumbass comment to make.
