I hear you. I'm not an active Twitter user but I have a highly specific community of people there that I do engage with, and that's harder to walk away from.

Perhaps the end of centralized short-form social media which may not be the worst thing to happen to humanity.

The biggest problem was that no one coordinated the exodus, so people fractured to BSky, Mastodon, CoHost, Threads... I remember when a bunch of people thought Hive was going to take off.
