The other thing about Max is that it's always been curated, even before this current bullshit. They'd shelf a movie for a month or two, bring it back, etc. Maybe for licensing reasons, or maybe just to avoid letting things become too stale.

Now that streamers have reached basically peak audience saturation, their customers are now other streamers, and they're just going to license their stuff to each other until the heat death of the universe. We did this last year with Over the Garden Wall, which is now on Hulu.

This is not a pro-David Zaslav argument, that guy is a piece of shit, but I think it's more likely that Steven Universe and Regular Show are going to show up on Netflix or some other service soon than that they're being crated up and moved to the Raiders of the Lost Ark warehouse.
