In 2015-2016, my kids attended Hand in Hand in Jerusalem, 1 of 6 Hebrew/Arabic schools working to create shared Jewish/Palestinian society. It was also the year of "Intifada of the Individuals,"— stabbing attacks & car rammings, on avg 3x day for a bit. Here's some of what I learned from the best:
one model of what's possible for Israeli and Palestinian kids
Thank you for this.
Lee Gordon, who has been involved since their early days, has always been a source of wisdom. Hand in Hand is one of the true sources of light.
Your one-sided handwringing makes it very clear what kind of "Jewish/Palestinian society" you want to see
Imagine if the Israeli government had invested in this instead of empowering Hamas to consolidate its own power. This is how you build a stable, peaceful nation.
hope is a form of resistance
I like the piece vm. Thank you.
