Right? Ships are such a huge part of space. They should have their own feel and asthetic and personality almost. And each one should be unique in its own way, but still similar.

I am working on a space ttrpg that is basically 5e but in space. No magic though. 6 classes, each with 2 subclasses. 8 Species. Space combat that plays like regular combat, and PC ships have their own character sheets and stats.

That's true. And starwars and startrek rpgs can provide that luckily. But it seems there aren't too many sci-fi ttrpgs that are original. It's also weird that WotC hasn't gotten into the sci-fi ttrpg scene themselves.

I'm just curious. How come space and sci-fi ttrpgs aren't as popular as Fantasy ones? Are there no good ones out there? It the learning curve of them too steep? What's everyone's opinion? #ttrpg
