I am extremely fucking angry at so much of this for so many reasons, but here's one. When I was in the age bracket being discussed I tried so fucking hard to get any kind of job and was just unable to clear an interview. I was also unable to access *any* benefits because of how we distribute them.
For those of you who wonder why even though I finally have a job that actually pays me decent money I'm super anxious and cagey about spending money. It's because I spent the ages of 23-27 with basically no way to make money.
I'm on universal credit and they hate me because I'm a specialised IT professional who used to get around 55k, and in a normal world I should be getting work because I'm pretty good at what I do (and used to be in demand), just tired of it and have a CV with a lot of gaps since I took breaks /1
