I'm in NY, I get $23 from SNAP. Finally got approved for SSI after fighting with them since before Covid hit. Not sure how much I'll be getting (we think $800, optimistically). I've only been surviving thanks to the mercy of my loved ones. That will continue to be the case. 🙃

One of my sisters is permanently disabled. That required getting a lawyer, because first applications for disability are routinely denied. Her disability payments are laughably low for California cost of living. She applied for SNAP and was granted $19/month.
