I blame @knilirabaj.bsky.social for right clicking on something in Firefox, seeing 'Inspect Accessibility Properties' and realizing it's about looking at webpage coding stuff and not alt text generation and such. My understanding and disappointment are perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

It *is* webpage coding stuff for building, managing, and maintaining accessible websites (www.a11yproject.com/posts/using-...), so intuition not wrong

I tried some of those online alt-text generator things, and they all *suck*, or want you to pay a subscription for a chatgpt wrapper. As much as I hate how much they shove it everywhere, google's Gemini has been pretty good at making descriptions the few times I've tried it.
