Generally speaking when someone is trying to kill you, you have a right to defend yourself, including the use of lethal force. Unless the attacker is a cop, then you simply are forced to die. No caveat, no exceptions. Wait to be killed.

Technically this isn’t true. Not only in the abstract but there’s caselaw… guy did die but prevailed in the end.
