If I’m posting a comment on a two day old skeet, it’s because I just got my power back on after the storm knocked it out Friday morning.

My power’s been out and internet’s spotty here in NC. I’m not even in one of the hardest hit places. In the limited news I have seen, no mention of Harris or Biden visiting the devastated areas of NC, TN, GA, FL, SC. Not visiting these places would be a) wrong and b) a huge unforced campaign error.

Miraculously, our generator still works and I can run power to the sump pump. We are on the periphery of Helene here in the NC piedmont region and it’s still intense. Not that it’s important, but I’m grateful for our gas stove and camping coffee setup.
