I lived through those days where Philips sold me a “buffer ahead CDRW” drive to prevent it making a coaster because I wiggled the mouse during a burn or a rip. So the whole time it was overpriced crap consumer Windows PC hardware… Btw your thread is fascinating thanks for sharing this info.
Oh! I should clarify: part of the error correction scheme involves shuffling up the order of the PCM audio samples across a sliding window of 109 (588-bit) frames... but the displayed track time data is NOT shuffled up. You can't use the time to locate a contiguous group of PCM audio samples.
