Had a guy drive AT me, then pass me on the wrong side of the road, even driving over a sidewalk, yelling that *I* was in the wrong place. I was on a bike, in the middle of a lane, waiting for a pause in traffic so I could turn left.
Last weekend while riding on a city trail I made a careful pass, a male rider approaching chided "stay in your lane, sweetheart!" 😾🤬
American here, so take what I say with a pile of salt. All genders seem to get harassment from drivers over here, though the specific harassing words (slurs) used probably vary based on identity. I see plenty of women recreationally cycling on the trails, but very few doing it for actual commuting.
