He went to look around one of the top, ancient universities (several university cognoscenti identified it as Durham from the descriptions) and found it hugely intimidating. After that, he decided to go to Felpersham as that felt the safer option. #TheArchers

a) it’s cheaper to live at home b) he is happier in an environment he knows. New work, new people, and having to cope with a new way of living & looking after himself would be too much for him, so he believes #TheArchers
