I think a lot of people (generally poorly educated) vote for him because they genuinely believe he was responsible for the “good economy” pre-covid. I don’t think 47ish % of the electorate is actually hateful - many are just ignorant.

I really, really hope so. Some form of wealth tax is starting to feel inevitable. I know they haven’t generally brought in as much as touted, but there’s something in the optics/intention/messaging that I think is important.

I dabbled with Threads when it first launched but the difference in it’s functionality compared to Twitter put me off - I seemed to just get a load of random stuff on my timeline. There is probably a way to change that but it wasn’t immediately obvious and therefore was a barrier to using it.
