I can't stop drawing Eric and Terrence. Do you sometimes feel that your line art looks so cool that you're scared to colour it and feel that it's better as it is? #ericterrence#OCs#OCart#BLart#victoriangay#victorianromance#art#illustration 🎨
This looks great! I definitely agree on the coloring thing. Sometimes, I'll just do a plain color pallete or leave it uncolored. Maybe just shading it preserves the great line work? 😅
First of all this is SO good, WOW <3;; and second yes I feel that so much 😭
Literally all the time. I love lineart more than any other part of the process. Sometimes it pains me to colour a piece and find that the details I worked hard on don’t show up as nicely anymore…😭
I often feel that way about my sketches Vs lineart somehow.... I love the way they're gazing at each other 🥰
I don't do lineart, but in some pieces I make a detailed pencil drawing and then color it (digitally or with layers of watery gouache), and in those cases I feel that fear. Love your OCs and their expressive force 😊
Oh my gosh, I love them! ♥ Your lineart is so flowy, it especially shows in their hair. I totally know what you mean! I think it's true sometimes and lineart shines more on its own without colour. I call it "the reverse Liefeld" 😂
That is *gorgeous*. I'm not an experienced artist in the least, so I can't answer your question, but wow. I'll just be over here admiring how stunning it all is from the fall of the hair, to their expressions - all of it.
Oof yes, felt. I don't really do lineart but for my equivalent of clean sketches, absolutely. Sometimes some pieces don't need all the rendering and the emotion is told in those lines and what we imagine. Beautiful piece. I adore how expressive the hands are!
Your line work is absolutely exquisite ❤️
