Baby asleep, a bottle of wine warming by the fire, pizza on the way, and a copy of the frankly outrageously good PERILOUS TIMES by @thomasdlee.bsky.social. Seems like the start of an excellent Friday night.
Hi everyone. I'm trying to move back to this nice corner of the internet (and spend less time in other worse corners of the internet). Who should I be following?
We would like to give such a huge thank you to everyone who attended last night's event! It was an incredible night and we are astounded by the support we received! To all the attendees, the incredible authors, the wonderful Waterstones staff, thank you and we love you all
I should really have announced already that I'll be at @easterconuk.bsky.social in my home turf of Shropshire next weekend! (staying with my parents, who live a stone's throw from the convention centre). Looking forward to my Debut Spotlight reading on Friday, and two exciting panels on Sunday.
Question for the @easterconuk.bsky.social team - have you heard about the landslip on the railway near Oakengates? There won't be any trains running through Telford Central until at least the 31st of March, but there will be rail replacement buses from Shrewsbury.
It's probably worth emerging (Grendel-like) from my PhD research hole to announce that the shiny paperback edition of PERILOUS TIMES will be in bookshops on the 4th of April! Pre-order it for your friends, your mother, or for the ancient resurrected tree warrior in your life.
I was at a party last night where my friend Dionne told me that 'January is the Sunday of the year' and now I feel so much better about how unproductive I've been 😆
Perilous Times is eligible for the Hugo awards! If you enjoyed reading it, and you're a WSFS member, please consider nominating it for the Astounding Award or for Best Novel ☺️
