Found this old journal comic. If I had a time machine- I would portal in and smash that PS4 with a hammer.
Jumping right into Vandal Hearts II, which really comes out the gate swinging in the opening scene. Reminds me of the opening to TO, but more grim. Character portraits are realistic to match the tone shift- which is fine. Though, a part of me is gonna miss the old character art.
Next time I play through a game I'll keep the screens in a single thread.
Okay, I just beat the game, and- *SPOILERS* It was. *phew! 😓*
Had a great time with VH! It's a simple, straightforward, little tactics game- but there's enough customization, strategy, and unit variety to make a replay worthwhile. Real shame that FFT would come out less than a year later and completely wipe it from history. (We won, Clint and Kira fans!)
Hate that I'm only now learning about Aidyn Chronicles.
