To “restore order,” the regime enacts a host of measures against the “Other”: Mass arrests, discriminatory legislation, “orderly” purges in the form of deportations. But the situation will soon be “untenable” again: After more propaganda, more pogroms - leading to more extreme measures.

Trump is trying to incite a pogrom. Mere weeks before the election, he has about a 50:50 chance to get back to the White House. As president, he could then use the racist frenzy he and Vance caused as justification for mobilizing the federal government to “cleanse” the nation.

Once it starts it's a self feeding monster. There's no going back. Incredibly grim stuff

Trump doesn't believe in much except Trump, but his anti-Black racism is 100% genuine.
