Few books fill me with emotion at the end, but the relationship of Dex and Mosscap in Becky Chambers “A Prayer for the Crown-Shy” is at once dystopian futuristic and classically wholesome. This was a perfect sequel and I hope the story continues. I would follow their travels forever.
Some books just feel right. The Alchemist is a tale of a young shepherd trying to figure out his place in the world. Although it was written more than 25 years ago and translated from a Brazilian author, the story is just as relevant to our world today. Really enjoyed!
What a fantastic thriller! Lucy Foley does it again (I also loved “The Paris Apartment”). A deeply personal writer, Lucy Foley is capable of developing characters that are so human, so flawed and enable you to identify yourself within them. Will captivate you right until the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The aerial videography of Paris in advance of the Olympic Road Race by @NBCOlympics on @peacock should win Emmys. Shots of The Louvre and scenes of Paris are absolutely breathtaking. #OlympicGamesParis2024
Really enjoyed The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand. Fun summer read! This thriller/mystery proves that even families that appear to have everything, also have dark secrets. Can’t wait for the Netflix series this fall! #ThePerfectCouple
Really liked this book. So many characters, especially with so many brothers, led to some early confusion. Loved the main character, Avery. A simple, honest girl thrust into this world of wealth and entitlement. Loved the mystery and puzzles. Hawthorne House is its own character! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a ride! V.E. Straub does it again. I could not put this book down. Gripping and suspenseful with fantastically flawed characters. It’s a thin line between hero and villain, and this book has you wondering who to root for at times. But heroes always come through. #Kindle#Paperwhite
Are we just going to have severe thunderstorms and threats of tornadoes every night between 6:00 and 8:00pm throughout the whole summer? Asking for a friend. #CTWeather
