People need to see. Sanitizing uncomfortable and ugly things makes it easy to rationalize horror. People SHOULD be horrified appalled sickened by what's happening and it's not enough to read euphemism filled news stories.

To be blunt about it, I'm here to keep up with my friends, not for news, this site is a terrible source for news. It's already hard to avoid seeing people dying in the discover feed even with the moderation stuff set to warn for violence and bigotry.

This was an emotional and not very well though post on my part. I was thinking of people who are minimizing the tragedy when I made it. I'm personally not posting any of these videos and have no desire to watch them. To those who were upset by my post- I'm sorry. I'll try to be better.

Hey, I get where you're coming from, I do. However, forcing people to see this isn't going to get you the results you want. I personally become physically ill on seeing things like that to the point of passing out and not being able to function, and I know there's other folks like me.

I've seen. And seen and seen and seen. All it does now is mash my brain into immobility so I'm in no state to help anyone. It is absolutely not required to keep constantly viewing atrocities to know they are happening and fight against them. To suggest it's required is fucking ridiculous.

I get where you're coming from, but lots of us have seen a whole lot of trauma already, & don't need to be shocked out of anything. I've been through a lot of shit, & my life is already very fragile. Please don't presume to know what place our life is in.

I don’t need to see. If we had to see every brutal death that happened every day life would be impossible. I can read the detail and understand the depth of it.
