Some dreams can be realized for under 1k and what a gift that is. If your spouse endorses then I say this is an achievable dream and a special story to get to do that on your trip!

personally trying to square "TiaraLA Should Be Writing" with the idea that a fancy pen is somehow a frivolous gift that will not be used or cherished...? Could you do a "reverse" savings plan where you spend the money and then bank like $50/month to "repay" the expenditure?
