I know and understand the importance of learning to do it by hand, but man, it was a frustrating experience for both of us and it was hard not to admit that the same computer he's entering his answers into has a *calculator* in it and that is 💯 how I would do this math if I needed it in real life.

The annoying thing about this story is that we were working on multiplying decimals, which isn't *hard*, exactly, but the Standard Algorithm (the way we were all taught in school) is fussy and has lots of steps, and it SUCKS and there's a reason we all use calculators to do this kind of math.
