I worry about the hubris and anthropocentrism of naming things and places after any human, no matter what gender. Things and places should have their own stories and names.

We could make a very different map of the Moon (accepting the culture-specific nature of maps) if it were from the perspective of the place itself. Ceridwen Dovey and Rowena Potts made an amazing film which does this. (Not online yet, you have to ask permission to see it). You'd like it!
