I also started, naively, in the crossdresser scene. The crossdresser boutique, only once. A couple of years of clubs before they all shut down due to gentrification. The girls and admirers helped. But I wasn't ready for HRT for almost 20 years, long after the clubs. Lived a life, learned a lot.
