Mine were picky about the oddest stuff. We had yellow airtex P.E. tops which were basically see through, for instance. And obsessed by navy coats rather than black which was annoying because there were always so many more choices in black

Our school has just switched to insisting on black coats, black rucksacks, black trainers for PE. All without logos. Which means buying lots of new things. And is difficult particularly with trainers for people who don’t have standard sized feet. And is all about getting everyone to be the same.
