8) Ok back at it, setting up the machine. Starting with getting the needle at the point close to the cording I want. (this is all on my 75 year old Singer 201-K, but the principle is the same on modern machines)

9) I then set up some guides. There's ones that screw into the base base of the machine, and magnetic ones. I'm using both, as the cording is going to want to push the piece away from the needle.
