okay i just was curious so i looked up all the arcs i’ve had file format issues with (faulty PDFs for purely text, *atrocious* quality for graphic novel) it’s ALL penguin random house, what is going on there

i opened up the file and a bunch of random letters in the middle of words are just….missing, i also downloaded a version on the netgalley app to see if it was any different but nope…just a bunch of missing letters publishers really need to check their files before uploading to review sites

no, PDFS get all jumbled when you try to convert them because PDFs operate more like pictures of text than actual text 😔
