My cartoon for yesterday’s Guardian Books.

First panel: a man lies on the couch in a therapist’s office. He says “I feel like I’ve finally learned to silence my inner critic when I’m writing.” The therapist replies “And yet you’re still having difficulties?”

Second panel: The man answers”I think that’s down to my outer critic”. We can now see that a man with a loudhailer is sitting on filing cabinet. He shouts “No, it,s cosyou’re a rubbish author.”

I popped onto BlueSky for the Archers thread. First up on my timeline was this - could not resist a further dive into the threads. Forty years after I graduated in computer science and the BBC is still writing this tosh about women and STEM

I have written to my Tory MP rather a lot. I only ever get a reply on subjects where their minions can do a cut and paste job which in most cases doesn't address the points I made and is usually why the government is right and I am not!!
