Four years ago, a too-scrawny kitten started coming to my glass backdoor while I fed my kids' cats. Eventually, we searched for his owners after rescuing him from pretty grave injuries. They were never found. Now, he still gleefully follows me into the kitchen for food and naps in strange places.

In one of my series, the main character of Westside Harpy is picked up by Poseidon's Seamen driving a giant phallic-shaped vessel that shoots white rope to catch her. The seamen swear the ship is "eel shaped" when she remarks on it. Lydia was semi-convinced until she reaches Poseidon's palace...
