There's truly unimaginable torture involved in forced detransition for children (at least unimaginable for the typical cis person). Detransition at a young age often means going through an unwanted puberty w/all the associated permanent effects. Forcing these on a trans child is vile.

One of the best writers On Here, @juno.bsky.social, once described her father as a man who made her “live like a boy” and that phrasing just absolutely stopped me dead in my tracks. I don’t know that I’ll ever understand the trans experience but that was as close as I’m sure I’ll ever come to it.
