Have you played Mullet Madjack? Indie game but so good, seems like anger foot but better in my opinion.

It's always funny to me when people who complain that "games aren't fun anymore" point to the 360 as the time that shooters were good, because I remember an era of brown and grey shooters where half your time was spent cowering behind cover and waiting for your health to recharge.

These shooters didn't go away. They retreated to PC, where they have continued to be great for years.

I also do remember thinking that shooters were dead after CS2 came out, with other mainstream ones like Valorant being so squeaky clean they looked boring, and the craze of extraction shooters oh boy. Then i played myhouse.wad which turned to DOOM and Quake and yeah shooters rule

I recently-ish replayed Return to Castle Wolfenstein and holy moly that game holds up so well
