Furries: I am officially retiring my spider sona. I can't deal with being threatened anymore. I though that a fandom that's all about being a safe place to express yourself would be the one place where I could express myself safely, but I was wrong. (Thread, 1/7)

I created my sona to express how I've always had trouble being accepted and need help staying safe, and even designed it to be as innocent and unthreatening as possible, but I've just been met with two years of people making it clear that I never will be accepted. (2/7)

It's extremely disheartening to see that people are behaving this way. I am very sorry that you have gone through this, absolutely nothing justifies this harassment. I am terrified of spiders but I find spider sonas (and also pets) very fascinating and often times adorable. 1/2
