For all those on here, what is the benefit over an app like Threads?
-queer networks -no brands -a lot of customization to create your own feeds -data portability -no algormithic boosting -ad free -invite trees allow easy nuking of bot farms (though they could be a lot better with this) -not owned by a genocide fueled with zero heck’s on his decision making
cant use Threads over here, this seems like a much nicer place than the alternatives
I’ve been using it for a day and tbh, I don’t really like it. Feels dead. I guess Twitter has remained king for a reason.
- no weird timeline reordering - can just see posts from who you follow (not suggested content, unless you want it) - more configurable - intended to be an open ecosystem, not just a single app - no data lock-in - not owed by Facebook
