It is true that Look-In's circulation peak (280k) seems to be 1981. COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT. It sheds 70k readers between 84 and 87, holds steady for a few years at c.210k then collapses - loses two-thirds of its remaining readers between 89 and 92, no data for 93, cancelled 94.

magbot's TV listings suggestion does seem very plausible -- but i also think that negotiating the embedded cultural panorama of successive cohorts as they age (from 10-15 or whatever) will have been even harder than the equivalent was for the music press
