Title: Exclusive extracts from Sauron the dark lord’s forthcoming memoir Panel 1. Sauron (a great, evil flaming eye) passes across the sky over a ruined building and says “I made mistakes but I still believe that I delivered positive change for Middle Earth.” Panel 2. He continues over a pair of figures with tall, pointed hats and staffs and says “A cabal of anti-growth, left-wing wizards undermined my premiership.”
Panel 3. A small figure blows smoke rings outside his circular front door. Sauron says “the hobbits never gave my shire modernisation policies a fair chance.” Panel 4. Sauron heads out over the hills, adding “Losing my ring of power was very difficult but I do not rule out a return to politics.”
