Thanks! The 'brain-ping' idea comes from www.nature.com/articles/nn.... , who used the impulse response to single flashes ('pings') to decode brain states. We think of RIFT as 'temporally extended pinging' - concatenating many impulse responses to track the *temporal evolution* of a brain state.

My 4yo bilingual son: Daddy daddy I got a sticker at school! Me: <thinking> "I am child"? It's a school, they're all children, why have they given him a sticker for that? <a million years pass> Me: Oh. Sticker says 'I am kind'. In Dutch, 'kind' (rhymes with 'pinned') = 'child'
Those people are getting brighter in one sense, and definitely not in the other sense.
Maybe more men would get therapy if we rebranded it as auto-debugging.
