I got a 70s pioneer receiver for $150 off of Facebook marketplace, spent $100 to have it serviced. Paired it with a 70s pioneer turntable ($250), a pair of ADS speakers from the 1980s ($200), and a $100 Bluetooth adapter. $800 for amazing sound.
