So you don't believe that we should have a bipartisan government, that we will always be divisive and combative.
We should not have a bipartisan government. We should have a parliament with multiple parties and ranked-choice voting. However that’s not the conversation. The conversation is that Republicans should never be invited to any position of power, because they’re fascists.
Why should anyone care about a bipartisan government? Why care about the appearances of "playing along" more than achieving policy goals that actually help people?
