You are correct. Also I was addicted to Wordle but now it's Connections.

They used to offer me a subscription to the whole paper for $5 more. Then $1. Then it would be FREE for six months. Now, if I just tell them I subscribe to the NYT proper, I can have it for FREE for a whole YEAR! Hate to break it to you, NYT, but no. Not interested.

The games app isn’t even that good.

When they do actual reporting, it’s mostly good. The NYT’s corporate and Republican bias is extremely aggravating and, with the few obvious exceptions, their opinion writers are largely hot garbage.
