Counterpoint: the cord is a liability on public transport and having earphones ripped from your ears by an oblivious commuter is no fun

I just moved and had a lot of cleaning to do and the cord got in the way a lot. it was only plugged into a little bluetooth receiver, it'd have been a lot worse if it was plugged right into the phone
