I understand now why the teacher refused to take my side in the argument, that's just a reasonable strategy to take when no kids are crying and voting for the venetian gerkin could make one kid start crying, but it's still stuck with me all these years. time to let that anger go i think
got in a fight with another kid bc he insisted that mine (largely sessile venetian filter-feeder about the size of a sea cucumber) was less plausible than his (green dude who flew around saturns rings in a circular piano desk that was also a personal spaceship)
remembering this assignment i had in 2nd grade where we were to come up with what we thought aliens might look like on other planets in the solar system...
