Here is how Iran thinks of the Palestinians, not as victims, but as the leading edge of Iran's war against Israel. "Gen. Hossein Salami, the commander in chief of the Revolutionary Guards, said that it would be āHezbollah, Hamas and other Palestinian militantsā that would deliver blows to Israel."
said it before, they're essentially trying to brexit the United States, when we already have the plain empirical example of how terribly brexit turned out for Britain
pretty impressive how the white xtian nativist right has claimed the putative center ground riding on anti-immigrant/foreign resentment, when as an objective economic matter the country basically collapses without constant flows of new people & imported goods
Youāre the one that said the historical claim was important. Kind of fun that it doesnāt matter to you now. Given the factual truth that Arab countries initiated the violent events, Iām having a hard time accepting the assertion that itās all the Jews fault.
In israel, then and now, Arabs are citizens like everyone else. The schism happens in 1948 when the Arab countries decided to expunge the Jews. It was absolutely *not* Israelās doing.
So your idea is that you think the U.N. Splitting the region into *two* countries to accommodate the *two* groups who lived there at the time is evil? What do you think should have happened to the Jews living there.
That also is incorrect. There have always been Jews there. And, to the extent that you stand by your earlier argument, seems kind of shitty for you to claim the Palestinians should just take claim to land after the Byzantine Empire forcibly removed most of the Jews.
Itās an argument that you made up. Has nothing to do with either the reality or me.
I'll watch this when I can. "Itās a fascinating movie" www.nytimes.com/2024/09/26/m...
The directorās latest is a great-man story about an architect, played by Adam Driver, driven by ideals and big plans. Itās a personal statement on an epic scale.
