After 12 years together, it’s not often my husband surprises me, but he’s done just that with tickets to see Richard Hawley in June!

We live in a modest terrace house. We have the heating on for two hours a day. We rarely use the hob to cook and only take showers. This month our gas bill was £140 (on top of our £80 electricity bill). We are lucky, we can’t afford it, but we can pay it, if you know what I mean. It’s just horrible.

Well, I’ve made it to the ‘other place’. Thank you to @nycsouthpaw.bsky.social for freeing me from the grasp of Space Karen and looking forward to enjoying this place until it inevitably decends into the cesspit that other social media has become. Chin chin!
