The people of Flint were ignored for years while the local politicians twiddled their thumbs over a solution. The Standing Rock tribe made a stand to try and save their water and bring attention to corporate greed and malfeasance. The people of Gaza had their water choked off by an apartheid regime.

These are just off the top of my head on a Sunday morning. How many other stories are there, going back how far? Water is life. We take it for granted until the taps are turned off and our awareness is brought into sharp focus. Every time I turn the spigot, I say a little gratitude when it works.
