I feel like an underremarked upon aspect is to make public schools as weird and hostile as possible in order to push charter/private/homeschooling. Like I think that is a very conscious feature of this stuff
A school district in Pennsylvania approved nearly $9,000 ‘to cut windows into the ‘gender-identity’ student bathrooms so passerby can look inside’
These adults want to make it easier for other people to watch your children while they’re in the bathroom. It’s absolutely mind-boggling.
extremely real. it's all part of the concentrated push against public schools
There were no doors on the bathroom stalls in my high school. I think in all my time in hs I used a stall once.
As someone who went to private schools, absolutely. Not only are they profitable, but they don’t have to follow laws about teacher qualifications, disability accommodations, etc etc
Step 1: “You’ve gotta put windows on all the bathrooms!! It’s the only way to keep muh kids safe!!” Step 2: “We had to pull our kids out of the public schools. Things were so bad, did you hear? They had to install WINDOWS on all the BATHROOMS!”
