As a listener, I get frustrated with how tooth rottingly twee a lot of singer/songwriter ukulele albums are, and while you can be twee on the ukulele, I wanted to show listeners who might be interested in Sparks but ambivalent about the ukulele that you don’t have to JUST be twee.

weirdly i have a very similar journey and feeling about this ukulele-wise and really think that sparks will lend themselves tremendously to banjolele. like 2016 got a cheap soprano for my kid and then was like hmmm how can i make this less island and more blue. im hyped to see what you do with this.
