I love how that is extreme when I knew about accommodations for trans kids when i was in high school back in ~2000. It was just normal, and obviously there have been rules in place long before I was in school.

Same. Transphobes entire argument is that these policies would be immediately harmful and that is a hard sell when you've got decades of data showing they're wrong. So they have to pretend everything is new and scary, so their followers won't question why they have no data to back their claims.
