You’re very welcome. Thank you for submitting ideas! I love it when our community drives the Con content.
I should qualify: there can’t be wildlife in the water that are likely to kill me. You know piranhas, crocodiles, hippos, pythons, etc. I’m not ThaT stupid. 😂
Omg the cuteness!! 🥰
Actually, no. All I would need is a couple of kayakers with swift water-rescue skills and gear and maybe a few folks who also think doing arguably stupid things are fun. There’s a small wing in the Cherry familia who’ve been flirting w/ Darwin Awards all our lives & we have some fantastic stories. 😂
I found out today that GCLS is already taking submissions for panels, presentations, and classes for the Con (til Jan 15th) for the 2024 Con. Here's the form, which also has great info on how much or how little input you can have on your suggestion. forms.gle/g3JAww7bLE2p...
The 2024 GCLS Conference is coming to Minneapolis St. Paul and the theme is Many Voices, One Community! Do you have an idea for a Panel, Master Class, or Presentation that you would like to share with...
This is an awesome idea for a panel or workshop at the GCLS Con. I just responded to someone who QRTd your post. I’m going to tag you over there so you can see the info I shared about it.
If you signed up to receive GCLS newsletters/announcements, etc., you’ll see the notification. Here’s the link to sign up. There are GCLS accounts on most social media platforms where announcements are posted.
You don’t even have to moderate, but you will need to assist with developing the purpose and ideas for how to make it a meaningful panel, presentation, or workshop. GCLS will announce an open call for submissions at some point in the next few months.
This does sound like an awesome topic for the GCLS Con or for a Virtual Series presentation, although I think a Con panel, presentation, or workshop would get more interaction and increase absorption for learning. FYI Anyone can’t submit a proposal for a panel.
